Leav Chanlyka

LEAV CHANLYKA (Kakou) began dance training in 2003, as a male and giant role of Cambodian classical dance. She spent 8 years learning Cambodian classical dance at Secondary School of Fine Arts and she graduated BA of Choreographic Arts at Royal University of Fine Arts.

 

She is an official artist from the Department of Performing Arts (DPA).

As she’s very interested in dancing, she developed herself to be a contemporary dancer and also an assistant director. Kakou is a member of Contemporary Dance well known as SilverBelle Dance since 2015 until nowadays. She has joined many fully created performances with SilverBelle. She received the opportunity to create innovative choreographies, further enriching the understanding of creativity and the depth of artistic expression.

 

Moreover, she has been in dance cooperation with choreographers from France such as Ballet Preljocaj Company and also Mr. Yannick Hugron&Philippe Lebhar, independent choreographer. 

On the other hand, she has traveled to many countries in both Asia and Europe for performances.
